About Us

Rudragarjana is troupe associated with traditional musical instruments dhol-tasha

'Rudragarjana',an organisation related to the traditional Dhol Tasha troupe was established in 2013 with the intention by Mr. Shailesh Ningune (Founder), to bring people from all sections of the society together for our beloved ' BAPPA'.

'Rudragarjana', was formed by few experienced shoulders with 100 Dhols, 25 Tashas and 20 Dhwajs.The count today has reached 150 Dhols,35 Tashas and 30 Dhwajs.'Rudragarjana',at the very beginning had 100 members aged from 10 to 65.The count today has reached a whooping 600 members and still counting. The troupe has seen a rise in the number of women participation in the past years.

Rudragarjana' has great achievements in a very little time. The troupe holds a record for playing at various manache temples in and around pune in a single day. The temples include Kasba Ganpati, Tambdi Jogeshwari Temple,Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati, Mahalakshmi Temple Sarasbaug and others. Along with this, every year 'Rudragarjana' is fortunate to offer seva by performing at the prestigious Mahalakshi Temple,Kolhapur's Gram Pradakshina event during Navratri festival.

' Rudragarjana' have got an opportunity to showcase their talent during the visarjan procession of Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari Ganpati.Every year 'Rudragarjana' feels proud to perform for manacha ganpati named Hatti Ganpati during the visarjan procession on Tilak Road and Tulasibag Ganpati during pratisthapana on Laxmi Road.

Apart from this, 'Rudragarjana' undertakes blood donations camps as well.As a tribute to our brave soldiers injured during wars at the border,'Rudragarjana' feels extremely proud to perform at the Paraplegic Rehabilitation Centre,Khadki on the occasion of Independence Day.

'Rudragarjana' as a troupe is well known for strict discipline and synchronisation along with variety of beats.'Rudragarjana' and its members will always strive to preserve the tradition and celebrate a disciplined and safe Ganesh Festival.

'Rudragarjana' is a registered organization under the Charitable Trust Act, 2011.
